If you really want to host yourself (physically) as opposed to being a reseller then one of the best is the Open Source product (free) ISPconfig. Some assembly required. A commercial ISP connection with IP addresses. Think through your security plan. (And, look for any ASP options you might want to offer. Again, assembly is required. Lot’s of options available on SourceForge.)

I use this one http://byethost.com/ it gives you php and mySQL for free. it’s also good if you want to use a CMS as joomla ( http://www.joomla.org/ ) to build your site

GoDaddy.com is a decent web host.

Don’t go for the free hosting sites. A lot of the time those sites host adult sites, spammers, scam sites or other banned sites and because of that, your site may be banned or penalized as well. It’s always best to buy your own domain name (very important) and place it on a respected, paid hosting service.

Use a photo editing program (like Photoshop) to resize the pics. The program you used to scan the images in with should have a re-seize function in it though.

Yes. Go to paypal.com and set up an account for free or make sure enough’s in it if you already have an account. Then, go where you need to go to sign up for webhosting service and click on the paypal payment option.
